Holiday Inn Express Chicago-Downers Grove By Ihg, Downers Grove

The hotel offers updated rooms with sufficient electrical outlets and ports for phones and computers, but my stay was marred by encountering bed bugs and having to inform the front desk. The service, although attentive to cleanliness, seemed rude and nonchalant at times, like when staff members were lounging in front of guests. The location was excellent for my needs, allowing for easy access to the highway and nearby shops and restaurants. The dining experience was satisfactory with good breakfast variety, although I had to request fresh towels daily. Overall, the hotel has its positives and negatives.

The hotel is conveniently located near historic downtown Downers Grove, making it a good value for those wanting to explore the area. Rooms are in need of serious renovations as they exhibit an old, musty smell with outdated furnishings. However, the service is top-notch, with friendly staff always ready to assist.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were very spacious and clean, which was great, but unfortunately, my room overlooked dumpsters full of construction equipment and glass, creating quite a loud ambiance at 6:30 in the morning.
